Born Clogh Co Antrim 1795

Joined 32nd Jan 1811 on 16th birthday, pensioned off 1835 to Ballymeana age 40. Pension included 2 yrs for Waterloo. Served 8 years Ionian Islands. Married Esther daughter of his old friend Smith Mc Dole( Mc Dowell) who had also been a 32nd man. Labourer.
He was 43 yrs she was 19 yrs. She remarried and moved to Scotland.

Had three sons – died c 1850 Believed buried in Connor Presbyterian Church yard – no stone. Nathaniel’s cousin was James Dunsheath on the 32nd Waterloo medal roll.
