We have received the following information from a relative of Henry Benson:

Please find details of my great great grandfather Private Henry Benson who served at Waterloo 1815.

Wounded by a musket ball passing through his arm and leg. He was serving with Captain Dave Davies company (Cassans).

Enlisted 1812 at Dublin. Occupation: Weaver.

Died 6th feb 1847 Macclesfield Cheshire. Death cert states “pensioner 32nd regiment of foot aged 56”.

He was born Dublin 1793. Kind regards Robert Hughes.
